About Pulak Baran Chakrabarty

Shri Pulak Baran Chakrabarty is our Chief Operating Officer. He is a chartered engineer in India with more than 40 years of experience in the field of mining engineering. Before joining Novomine, he worked in different subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd - notably WCL, BCCL, and ECL where he served in different positions such as Assistant Manager, Manager & Agent, and General Manager.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Moreover, he is also the holder of a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (Coal) and is a Life Member of the Mining, Geological, and Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI) and the Indian Mine Managers’ Association (IMMA).
